PATNA/BIHARSHARIF: State BJP president Samrat Chaudhary on Friday demanded judicial inquiry by a sitting Patna high court judge into the communal violence at Biharsharif during the Ram Navami festivities on March 31.
Chaudhary, who visited Biharsharif on Friday, said if the state government didn't respond to their demand by May 7, a BJP delegation will meet governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on May 8 and request him to direct the government for action taken report.
"We don't have faith in the Nalanda district administration. The day the clashes took place, the Nitish Kumar government was sleeping. No violence would have occurred had the administration remained alert," he said.
